For the Fife Renewables Innovation Centre in Methil, Fife I (UrbanPioneers) created artworks within the building as well as an outdoor display board.
The indoor artworks feature within the staircase of the building, in the foyers and in meeting rooms. I interviewed people who have been in different ways involved with this building (eg. architect, Councillor, tenant) and used their answers for the creation of the vinyl artworks. The colours for this work match the render of the outside of the building.
The outdoor display board overlooking the Methil Docks shows the history of the Docks in a graphical layout. It visualises the outline of the harbour and docks over time, the export of coal and features facts like the Docks ownership or how bad weather set the building of the new Docks back.
